What to Eat This Month – July 2024

July is an amazing month for food, and if you’re wondering what to eat in July, you’re in the right place!

July is the month where the weather (may) be hotting up, and the last thing anyone wants to do is spend hours in the kitchen. Quick meals are more important than ever!

It’s also the month where, if you grow your own vegetables, the fruits of your labour are starting to appear. Hopefully, you’ll be getting something of a bounty!

July is also a month of celebration. Schools break up for summer, families come together, holidays are in full force. So if you’re looking for recipes to feed a crowd, you’ll find some of those here too.

What to Eat in July – In Season

Cherries are one of the most exciting fruits to come into season in July. I have only shared savoury meals below, so if you’re looking for ways to use a glut of cherries, why not try my cherry muffins or cherry, pecan and dark chocolate baked oats.

These are some of the ingredients that are in season in July:

  • Cherries
  • Samphire
  • Blueberries
  • Runner beans
  • Beetroot
  • Fennel
  • Courgettes
  • Cucumber
  • Onions
  • Tomatoes
  • Crab
  • Mackerel
  • Lamb

Here, I’ve selected some beautiful recipes which are perfect for cooking in July. Simply save the page and use this as your shopping guide for the next 4 weeks!
