If you’re looking for a quick and easy, delicious dinner, this chorizo and mozzarella hot sandwich is for you.
Ready in 10 minutes, it tastes like a really yummy pizza and is a great option for when you want something warm to eat but don’t have much time.
You can mix the fillings up as much as you like once you’ve made it a couple of times. Whatever you love on pizza – pop it in this sandwich!
The sandwich is fried on the hob with a little butter or margarine to get it nicely crisp and golden. The best way of heating sandwiches!

Chorizo and Mozzarella Hot Sandwich – The Ingredients
- Bread – go for some nice, fresh bread. I used a delicious tiger loaf. Sourdough works well too.
- Tomato puree – a little tomato puree gives the sandwich that pizza sauce taste.
- Oregano – dried oregano is perfect for that pizza flavour. You could also use some fresh basil.
- Chorizo – I used some deli sliced chorizo. You could also use some salami or pepperoni – or sliced red peppers and mushrooms if you want it to be vegetarian.
- Mozzarella– fresh mozzarella is best because it melts really quickly and tastes incredible.
- Green olives – or switch with black olives, if you prefer.
- Butter/margarine – a little butter or margarine spread on the outside of the sandwiches will make them get beautifully crisp when you fry them.

Top Tips
