Hot Honey Bagel – The Ingredients
This super simple bagel recipe uses just a handful of ingredients:
- The bagel – just use a plain white or whole meal one. The filling is so flavourful you don’t need more from the bagel! I used New York Bakery ones.
- The sausages – I am a huge advocate for buying the best sausages you can afford. This will be nicer with good, high quality sausages with a high meat content. I just used plain pork ones.
- The hash browns – simple frozen ones are all you need, or you could make your own potato hash and use that.
- The cheese – I used port salut because it’s my absolute favourite, but any good melting cheese like cheddar, mozzarella, or Gouda would work.
- The hot honey – the star ingredient! You want one with a good kick.
Cooking the Bagel
This really is just a chuck it in the oven job. Hash browns and sausages to start with, then the bagel with the cheese right at the end. It’s so simple and comes together really easily at the end.
You could fry the sausages if you wanted to, but it’s so easy to just put everything in the oven together.
