This one pan smoked sausage fried rice recipe is ready in less than 15 minutes and a family favourite in my household.
Smoked sausages are such a great way of bringing loads of flavour to a dish – because they’re packed full of it! You don’t need lots of additional ingredients to make this a really tasty weeknight dinner.

It’s all made in one pan, so it’s perfect if you want to minimise the washing up, and it’s a quick recipe to make too. In fact, this is one of my favourite 15 minute recipes, which is saying something because I have LOTS of 15 minute recipes!
I can’t recommend this simple recipe more. Once you try it, you’ll fall in love with it too.

Smoked Sausage Fried Rice – The Ingredients
- Smoked sausages – I use these Krakus smoked sausages – they’re Polish pork sausages smoked using beechwood and alderwood and they are my favourite. If you can’t get hold of them, any smoked sausages will work. This would be a good alternative.
- Rice – you will need cooked rice to make this recipe. You have three options – you can use leftover rice from another meal, you can cook rice specially for this recipe or you can do as I do when I’m in a hurry, which is use pouches of microwaveable rice. They’re more expensive than regular rice, but they really do cut down the time it takes.
- Peas and red bell pepper – these are the vegetables that add some colour and freshness to our fried rice. You can get creative here and try out other vegetables, such as spring onions, tender stem broccoli, sugar snap peas or spinach.
- Eggs – this dish at its heart is an egg fried rice. The eggs bring a lovely flavour and texture. You’ll need two eggs.
- Soy sauce – a dash of soy sauce is all the flavouring we need with those powerful smoked sausages.
