Ingredients

  • 100 grams butter
  • 150 grams plain flour
  • 50 grams caster sugar
  • 50 grams icing sugar
  • 4 teaspoons mini marshmallows
  • 4 teaspoons pomegranate seeds
  • 4 teaspoons hundreds and thousands
  • 4 teaspoons white edible balls
  • 4 teaspoons silver edible balls

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
  • Cube the butter and tip into a large bowl with the flour and caster sugar. Rub the mixture between your fingertips until it resembles small breadcrumbs.
  • Squeeze the mixture together to form a dough, then tip onto a lightly floured surface. Roll out to 0.5cm thick. Use a heart shaped biscuit cutter to cut the dough into 20 hearts - place the hearts onto a baking tray. Re-roll the dough as many times as you need to in order to use it all.
  • Place the baking tray into the oven for 10 minutes until the biscuits are firm and lightly golden. Remove from the oven and leave to cool fully.
  • Mix the icing sugar with 50ml cold water. Stir to create a smooth icing. Spoon the icing onto each biscuit and smooth with a knife.
  • Use one teaspoon of each of the toppings to top a biscuit - e.g. 4 biscuits will be topped with marshmallows, 4 will be topped with pomegranate seeds. Continue until all of the toppings have been used. Leave until the icing has set before eating.
