Cheap Eats

Finding ways to feed your family cheaply is really important, and cooking from scratch each night can seriously improve your health and your finances.

Thinking of ideas can be hard though, so I wanted to do some of the work for you. Simply copy the shopping lists for each week, follow my recipe ideas and you can feed your family for under £50 per week.

The meals are ones I’ve cooked for us – so will serve 2 for dinner with leftovers for lunch the next day. However, you could easily increase the amount of fish/meat where necessary to feed a family of 4 with minimal extra cost.

Please note I’ve included fresh herbs in the shopping list but not dried herbs and spices and oils (and other basic store cupboard ingredients) – so bear in mind if you need to stock up on these it will cost you a little more.

Getting a veg box is often a great way of cutting the costs, so this is worth considering.
